💕 Love is in the air, everywhere I look around… 💕

💕 Love is in the air, every sight and every sound… 💕

It’s February, Valentine’s Day is just around the corner and that means you love birds are probably already making plans.

Our average Irish refund is €1076.17 so if you’re considering applying for one, or you’re waiting for your refund to pop into your bank account any day now, you can check out some of the super romantic ways that you can spend it on the one you love this Valentine’s Day!

 1. Dublin Zoo

Dublin zoo is a great place to spend the day with your significant other. Coo over the cute animals and laugh at the funny looking ones (and there’s no shortage of funny looking fellas at the Zoo). As a bonus, it’s located in the Phoenix Park so you can go visit the deer or the people’s garden afterward.

Just don’t forget to pack a picnic, a blanket and a bottle of wine.

 2. Catch a theatre show

You could go see something at the Board Gais Energy Theatre or you if you’d enjoy something on a more intimate scale, head over to The Olympia on Dame Street. Ireland has tonnes of great theatres all over the country so if you want to take a little road trip and book a hotel, you’ll be spoiled for choice when it comes to gigs and shows.

3. The Indian Sculpture Park in Roundwood

Victor’s Way was designed as a meditation space intended for lone adults (but that’s not to say you and a loved one can’t go get some peace and quiet there). The garden has 7 large and 37 minor sculptures scattered along a long path. It takes about an hour to see the whole thing and it only costs a fiver in so you can afford to fit in some more romantic activities into your day.

4. Glendalough

Glendalough is full of stunning scenery and although it’s too cold in February to swim in the famously clear copper tinted water, the area is a breathtakingly beautiful place to take a romantic stroll through the trees.

You can also visit The Wicklow Heather restaurant afterwards for a delicious hearty meal.
