50 Percent Tax Cut in NSW to Keep Jobs

The NSW Business Chamber stated the state would need to cut 50% of payroll tax so employers can keep jobs. NSW is already the state with highest unemployment rate of 6.9%. Nearly a quarter of small to medium companies indicated they intend to lay people off within the next three months.

"Just a temporary cut while we get over this economic hurdle," says Chamber Spokesman Chris Taylor.
