The Byte & The Adventure Travel Awards

If you happen to be down under, November has always marked a very fun, social and productive month for the work and travel sector; there’s always a host of industry events being held, and this year will be no different. November 2014 ushers in the launch of both Byte Exchange and the Adventure Travel Awards, with both events being hosted in Sydney across two days on the 6th and 7th November.

Byte Exchange

Byte Exchange will bring industry members from both Australia and New Zealand together for an assortment of conference seminars, business appointments and networking functions, while the Adventure Travel Awards involves 250 industry professionals coming together for a gala dinner in Rydges World Square.

Byte Exchange commences on the 6th November with a half day conference, where guest speakers from a range of backgrounds and businesses will address a number of topics affecting the contemporary youth travel industry, while the remainder of the day is dedicated to independent appointments and activities. Once this comes to an end, all delegates will head to the gorgeous and aptly-chosen Bounce Hostel for a networking reception overlooking the city vista for drinks, nibbles and mingling. The 7th will see further business appointments, followed by a highly-anticipated awards function in the evening.

The Adventure Travel Awards

The Adventure Travel Awards, meanwhile, sees a host of leisure and travel organisations set to be recognised both regionally and nationally across a variety of award categories. A full list of all the finalists and the categories is available here – we at Taxback.com are delighted to see some of partner organisations amongst the finalists, and we’re keeping our fingers crossed for them. All the finalists were voted for by young travellers in both Australia and New Zealand, and over the 8 weeks voting period 36,000 votes were recorded – pretty impressive numbers and support!

Both the events have been put together by Thomas Wheeler, Manager of Byte Custom Media, who has been heavily involved in the youth travel sector for years. Tom had this to say about both events:

‘’Were incredibly excited to welcome the hundreds of businesses attending Byte Events - the level of support from our industry has been massive, which has allowed us to continue the traditional November week for networking and celebrating our incredible industry. A special thanks goes to Taxback and all our other sponsors. Without their support of the events in their first year, we would not have been able to create what we have created.’’

Taxback.com are excited about the launch of both events and are immensely proud to be sponsoring the opening year. We wish Tom and the rest of the team over at The Byte huge success with both events, and we look forward to a celebrating with all the winners on the 7th November!
