Taxback.com promoting teen mental health in Kilkenny

31 July 2014

This week we donated €1,000 to Foròige Kilkenny to support their counselling service for adolescents in Kilkenny. When it comes to our CSR activity, we like to support local initiatives and this is a cause that was close to our financial headquarters in Kilkenny.

“Counselling for Adolescents at The DRUM’ was launched as part of a five-year action plan for suicide prevention in Co. Kilkenny. The service provides a free and professional counselling service for young people without the perceived stigma of attending a mental health centre.

The service helps young people who are depressed or suffer from anxiety as well as those have experienced loss, anger issues, parental separation or those who simply need someone they can talk safely and confidentially to.

Like many valuable charitable initiatives, the demand exceeds supply and so we are delighted to make a donation to go towards the excellent work Foróige is doing in this area.
